Fort Payne Pre-K

Fort Payne Pre-K operates on a public‑school calendar and follows Alabama’s First Class Pre-K guidelines for classroom environment, assessment, and family involvement. Students are prepared to transition into Fort Payne’s kindergarten and elementary grades. The curriculum implemented follows First Class Pre-K Guidelines.

Since 2006, Alabama’s “First Class Pre-K” program has led the nation in early childhood development and ranked nationally by meeting all 10NIEER Quality Benchmarks, in which Pre-K programs are evaluated. Fort Payne Pre-K meets these guidelines and currently has nine Pre-K classrooms with an 18:2 student-to-teacher ratio in each class.
